Why our vehicles suit the Sea to Sky

  • Built for snow: four-wheel-drive SUVs and winter tires on every vehicle in season.
  • Room for gear: skis, snowboards, bikes and golf bags ride with you, not in a second car.
  • The right size: one Sprinter carries 14 people with luggage, so your group arrives together.
  • Commercially licensed and inspected: every vehicle passes government safety inspections, unlike a rideshare car.
  • Family-ready: infant, convertible and booster seats are free and installed by certified technicians.

FAQ

Vancouver to Whistler transfer — common questions

Everything you need to know before booking a luxury ride in Whistler and the Sea-to-Sky corridor.

How much is an SUV with a driver from Vancouver to Whistler?

A private luxury SUV (Chevrolet Suburban or GMC Yukon) from YVR or downtown Vancouver to Whistler is $530 CAD per way when you book a round trip, or $636 CAD for a one-way trip, all-in. That price includes tax, gratuity and fuel, and there is no airport pickup fee. The SUV is four-wheel drive on winter tires and seats up to 6, or 5 with skis and luggage.

How much is a van with a driver from Vancouver to Whistler?

A chauffeured Mercedes Sprinter van for up to 14 passengers is $724 CAD per way when you book a round trip, or $869 CAD for a one-way trip, from YVR or downtown Vancouver to Whistler, all-in with tax and gratuity. On a round trip with a full van that works out to about $52 per person each way, with room for luggage, skis and snowboards.

How much is a private transfer or limo from YVR to Whistler?

Our all-in prices from YVR or downtown Vancouver to Whistler are: executive sedan $470, luxury SUV $530 and Sprinter van $724 per way when you book a round trip, or $564, $636 and $869 for a one-way trip (all CAD). Tax, gratuity, fuel and flight tracking are included, and there is no airport pickup fee. These are early-season rates; peak holiday dates may be higher and are confirmed in writing before you book.

Do I need to book a round trip to get the lowest Whistler price?

Our lowest rates, $470 for the executive sedan, $530 for the SUV and $724 for the Sprinter per way, apply when you book the trip to Whistler and the return together. A one-way trip is $564 for the sedan, $636 for the SUV and $869 for the Sprinter. These are early-season rates; peak holiday dates such as Christmas and New Year's may be higher and are confirmed in writing before you book.

What is your cancellation policy for Whistler transfers?

You get a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before pickup, with no other deductions. The 24-hour rule applies to each leg separately. If you cancel one leg of a round trip, the remaining leg is charged at the one-way rate and the difference is refunded. For example, cancelling the return of a $1,060 SUV round trip refunds $424. If Highway 99 is closed on your travel day, we rebook for free or refund in full.

How long is the drive from Vancouver to Whistler?

Whistler is about 121 km from Vancouver along the Sea-to-Sky Highway (Highway 99). Plan on about 2 to 2.5 hours from YVR and about 2 hours from downtown Vancouver. Snow, holiday weekends and road work can add time, so we schedule return pickups around your flight with a buffer.

Can you drive us from Seattle or Sea-Tac Airport to Whistler?

Yes. We drive from Sea-Tac (SEA), Paine Field (PAE), downtown Seattle and anywhere in Washington State straight to your Whistler hotel or chalet, with one chauffeur and one vehicle the whole way. From Sea-Tac it is about 360 km and 5 hours plus the border. Our cross-border vehicles hold a USDOT number and FMCSA operating authority, and prices are quoted per trip, in US dollars if you prefer.

How long is the drive from Bellingham Airport to Whistler?

About 200 km and 3 hours from Bellingham International Airport (BLI) to Whistler, plus the border wait. Your chauffeur meets you at BLI arrivals and drives you through the Peace Arch or Pacific Highway crossing and up the Sea to Sky Highway, door to door.

What is the best way to get from YVR to Whistler?

For most travellers the easiest way is a private transfer: your chauffeur meets you in YVR Arrivals, loads your bags and skis, and drives you straight to your hotel or chalet door with no transfers, stops or waiting for other passengers. Scheduled buses and shared shuttles cost less per seat but run on fixed times and drop at set stops.

How much does a shuttle from Vancouver to Whistler cost compared with a private car?

Shared shuttles are priced per seat and run on fixed schedules with stops. A private transfer is priced per vehicle, so for groups it often costs about the same per person: on a round trip, a private SUV at $530 each way split five ways is about $106 per person, and a Sprinter van at $724 each way split fourteen ways is about $52 per person, door to door.

Can I Uber from Vancouver to Whistler?

Ride-hailing apps operate in Metro Vancouver, but a 121 km mountain trip is not guaranteed: drivers can decline, prices change with demand, most cars have no ski racks, and finding a ride back from Whistler can be difficult. A booked private transfer gives you a fixed price, a confirmed chauffeur and room for your gear in both directions.

How much does a taxi cost from Vancouver to Whistler?

A taxi runs on the meter for the full 121 km, so the fare is not known until you arrive. Our private sedan is a fixed $470 CAD per way on a round trip, or $564 CAD one way, all-in from YVR or downtown Vancouver, quoted before you book, with tax and gratuity included.

Do your Whistler SUVs have winter tires, 4x4 and ski racks?

Yes. BC requires winter tires on the Sea-to-Sky Highway from October 1 to March 31, and every vehicle we send to Whistler in that season is equipped for it. Our Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon SUVs are four-wheel drive (4x4) for snow on the Sea-to-Sky. Our SUVs and vans carry skis and snowboards; just tell us how many pieces of gear you have when you book.

Is there an airport pickup fee or extra fees for child seats and flight delays?

No. Child car seats are free on request, your flight is tracked live so a delay costs you nothing, and there is no separate YVR airport pickup fee. Pets are welcome on request. The price you are quoted is the price you pay.

Can we stop along the way to Whistler?

Yes. A short photo stop at a Sea-to-Sky viewpoint or Shannon Falls is easy to add; just mention it when you book. Longer stops, such as the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish, can be arranged as part of your quote.

What areas of Whistler do you serve?

We drop off and pick up anywhere in Whistler: Whistler Village, Village North, the Upper Village and Blackcomb Benchlands, Creekside, Cheakamus Crossing and Alta Lake. Pickups for the trip up are from YVR, anywhere in Metro Vancouver, and Sea-Tac, Paine Field, downtown Seattle and Bellingham in Washington State.

Are NorthLuxDrive vehicles and chauffeurs licensed and insured in BC?

Yes. Our vehicles are licensed by BC's Passenger Transportation Board, commercially insured and pass government safety inspections, and our buses operate under a National Safety Code certificate. Every chauffeur holds at least a Class 4 commercial licence and passes a police record check with a vulnerable sector check. For trips from Seattle and Bellingham, our cross-border vehicles hold a USDOT number and FMCSA operating authority with US insurance on file.
