The car and the chauffeur stay with you
An hourly booking, also called as-directed service, gives you a car and a licensed chauffeur for a set number of hours instead of a single trip. Your chauffeur picks you up, drives you to each stop, waits while you're inside and takes you to the next one. If the plan changes, you just tell the chauffeur. You don't rebook, wait for a new ride or look for parking. It's what most people mean when they search for a personal driver, a driver for the day or a car with a driver.

Hiring a private driver in Vancouver
How much does a private driver cost per hour in Vancouver?
An executive sedan or a full-size luxury SUV with a chauffeur is $189 an hour with us, all-inclusive: taxes, fuel surcharge and gratuity included. A Sprinter van for up to 14 people starts at $260 an hour, a stretch limo at $280 and a Rolls-Royce Phantom at $369.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
A stretch limo or Rolls-Royce Phantom has a 2-hour minimum (3 hours for a stretch limo to a concert). Some other vehicles and dates have one too. Your quote shows it, along with the total hours and the total price, before you pay anything.
Can I hire a driver for a full day?
Yes. Full days of 8, 10 or 12 hours are common for site visits, roadshows and sightseeing. Send us a rough plan and we will tell you how many hours it needs.
Can the driver wait while I'm in a meeting or appointment?
Yes. Waiting is part of the hours you book. The car stays parked nearby and your chauffeur comes back to the door when you call or text.
Can I add a stop or change the plan on the day?
Yes. Tell your chauffeur. Extra stops inside your booked hours cost nothing. If you need more time, it is added at the same hourly rate as long as the car is free.
Can I rent a car with a driver in Vancouver?
That is what an hourly booking is. You don't sign a rental agreement or drive. The car comes with a licensed chauffeur and stays with you for the hours you book.
What do you call someone who drives you around?
A chauffeur. People also say private driver, personal driver or driver for hire. In BC, anyone who does this for pay needs a licence from the Passenger Transportation Board, which we hold.
Is it cheaper than Uber or Evo?
For one ride across town, no. Uber or Evo will cost less. An hourly driver makes sense when the day has several stops, someone needs help in and out of the car, or you can't afford to be late or circle for parking.
Can I book the same chauffeur every week?
Yes. Repeat clients can ask for the same chauffeur with 24 hours' notice. Plenty of our hourly clients have a standing weekly booking.
Are child seats included?
Yes, free, and there is no limit. Tell us the children's ages and weights and the chauffeur installs the seats before pickup.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel 24 hours or more before pickup for a full refund.
Do you invoice companies?
Yes. We invoice companies and accept purchase orders. A deposit holds the date and the balance is due before the booking.
